A five-year-old girl was found dead on Tuesday inside a garbage bag in an apartment near her home. Her mother reported her missing in the town of Rambervillers, in Vosges, northern France.
A young man of about 15 or 16 years is in police custody. The mayor of the town has specified that he was booked for having "acts related to sexual abuse with minors" The girl's parents had reported the child missing, and had asked neighbors if they had seen her.
