Federal Council approves law for more effective deportation practices. The law that is intended to underpin the new asylum course has now also passed.
The state chamber also cleared the way for new naturalization rules. The budget financing law should actually also be discussed in the Federal Council on Friday, but the Union-led states did not agree to the shortening of the deadline required for this. The discussion is therefore not expected to take place until March 22nd. The Federal Council also approved the budget for 2024. It includes expenditure of around 477 billion euros and new debt of 39 billion euros.
