EU plans to impose high tariffs on some agricultural products produced in Russia. Local farmers have noticed that relatively cheap Ukrainian agricultural products are flowing into the EU.

The EU has suspended tariffs on imported goods as part of its support for Ukraine since the start of Russia's military invasion last year. On the other hand, Russian agricultural products exported to other parts of the world will be allowed to transit through the region as before. Russian Presidential Spokesperson Peskov criticized this, saying that European consumers will definitely suffer.
