EU leaders called for speeding up supplies of shells and missiles to Ukraine. “The European Council also emphasizes the urgent need to speed up the supply of ammunition and missiles, especially given the commitment to provide Ukraine with 1 million artillery ammunition,” the TASS statement quotes.

Previously, EU countries agreed following the summit to provide financial assistance to the Ukrainian authorities, but subject to Ukraine’s compliance with democratic norms and the rule of law. The European Council called on countries to intensify efforts to redirect existing orders to Ukraine and place new ones.
