EU imports of Russian LNG increase by 38%. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak revealed in an interview with “Expert Magazine” that the European Union has reduced pipeline gas imports from Russia five-fold in 2023.
Russia's share of European Union gas imports fell from 45% in 2021 to less than 15% in2023. Oil, and from 50% to 9% on petroleum products. However, gas consumption decreased by 7% in the European EU last year compared to the previous year to about 330 billion cubic meters.
