EU: nature restoration law deadlocked in the face of divisions among European countries. Environment ministers were due to vote on March 25 during their meeting in Brussels, but this vote will not take place.

Intended to reverse the dynamic of loss of biodiversity in the countries of the European Union, the text provides for compulsory measures to “  repair  ” damaged territories. It aims to preserve the biodiversity of 30% of land and seas with additional objectives for the restoration of damaged habitats, but the conservative parties managed to remove the obligation to restore 10% of agricultural land.
