Household appliances group SEB says it is "reassured" that its products have been excluded from the proposed law. The bill aims to restrict the manufacture and sale of products containing PFAS or "eternal pollutants" Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, accumulate over time in the air, soil, river water, food and even in the human body.

The application of the ban to kitchen utensils, initially provided for in the text, was removed by the deputies in session.
