Izvestia newspaper was informed about this at the country's embassy in Moscow. “AUKUS’ activities contribute to peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region and are therefore consistently supported by Japan,” the publication said. Earlier, the Kyodo news agency reported that the United States was expanding the functions of the headquarters of its armed forces in Japan.
