The Riksbank will issue a new interest rate decision on Wednesday. Leading economists disagree on whether the policy rate should be raised again.

"It's risky not to act," says Mattias Persson, chief economist at Swedbank. "The interest rate weapon is not so effective against inflation coming from abroad," says Laura Hartman, head economist at LO. "Inflation is persistent. It will come down, but it will take a little longer," says Persson. "Housing investment is plummeting and consumption is falling sharply," says Hartman.
