The Under-Secretary General for UN Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, began a week-long visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on February 1, 2024. His stay will take him to the east of the country, to Goma, Béni and Bukavu, but also to Kinshasa where an interview with President Félix Tshisekedi is on the program.
It is at the end of his stay that he must meet the Congolese president, recently re-elected for a second term.
