Disney cancels plans to build a large new employee complex in the US state of Florida. In the face of "significant changes" including "changing terms and conditions," the project will be abandoned.

The cancellation comes amid a fierce dispute with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who was sparked by a law in the state that was criticized as homophobic. Last year, the arch-conservative politician passed a law that prohibits teaching about sexual orientation and gender identity in the first three years of primary school. The law has since been extended to all grades, as the "Don't Say Gay" law.
