Russia believes that in the current conditions, dialogue with Japan on concluding a peace treaty is impossible, said Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova. Earlier, Japanese Cabinet Secretary General Yoshimasa Hayashi said that Tokyo places full responsibility for the deterioration of bilateral relations on Moscow.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Tokyo will adhere to policy of concluding peace treaty, but will continue its sanctions policy against the Russian Federation. Experts note that Japan fully supports Western policy towards Moscow and there are no prospects for normalizing interaction yet.
