Deputy Minister of Economic Development Ilya Torosov: Russians have had their debts written off for 6.3 billion rubles. In December, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the transfer of out-of-court bankruptcy procedures to electronic form.
Last December, Putin instructed the government and the Bank of Russia to make changes to legislation by June 1, 2023 to facilitate the bankruptcy procedure for citizens. The changes are expected to be implemented by the end of the year. The new bankruptcy procedures will be available to all Russian citizens.
