Ihor Zhovkva, deputy head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the Ukrainian army lacks weapons to launch a counteroffensive. He said that Kiev expects maximum success from the counteroffensive, adding that the Armed Forces of Ukraine need a little more time to conduct a counter offensive.

According to the Financial Times, Ukrainian officials are not sure that the counter offensive will be successful. US Marine Corps intelligence officer Scott Ritter said that he doubted the Ukrainian Armed Forces could launch acounteroffensive.
