Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko called NATO an instrument of American hegemony. “The purpose of NATO as it was created 75 years ago has not changed at all,” he said in an interview with RT.
Currently, NATO, which was founded on April 4, 1949, includes 32 countries. The United States considers NATO as one of the main mechanisms for projecting power on a global scale, he said, adding that in all centers of a multipolar system there are more and more of their competitors and opponents.
