David Hirst: Islamic countries must confront the West to stop the war on Gaza. In light of the continuation of daily Israeli massacres in Gaza, hundreds of thousands of displaced people suffer from tragic conditions.
Hirst quoted Faisal Dawji, former media director for the South African government, as saying, “We went to the International Court of Justice, looked around, and there was no one to support us” He spoke of pressure on his country to withdraw the case before the initial ruling. Dawji said, "What is happening in the occupied territories is 10 times worse than the apartheid that we witnessed in South Africa, and the West is complicit in apartheid and genocide."
