Countries and organizations condemn the imminent Israeli invasion of Rafah and warn of a disaster. Rafah is the last refuge for the displaced in the Gaza Strip, and its population is estimated at about 1.4 million people.

Amnesty International warned of a real and imminent danger of genocide threatening Rafah, as there is nowhere for civilians to go to escape the bombing. The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, expressed his deep concern about the expected ground invasion by Israeli forces in Rafah.
