Brazzaville, the Congolese capital, hosted a meeting of the African Union (AU) High-Level Committee on Libya on Monday, February 5, 2024. The meeting is the last step before the inter-Libyan reconciliation conference set for April 28.

This meeting was an opportunity to ask Libyan officials to set up, as quickly as possible, a national reconciliation commission. “The Libyan crisis has lasted too long and has cost its people very dearly,” said Moussa Faki Mahamat, president of the AU Commission.
