Chinese e-commerce site Temu accused of not respecting toy safety standards. European Toy Industries Federation purchased and tested 19 products at random from the Chinese marketplace Temu.

After testing, it considers that the platform days do not respect European security standards and "present a real risk" for kids. "The EU has the strictest toy safety rules in the world, yet online platforms continue to allow the sale of toys by non-EU sellers that endanger children," complains the president of the French Federation of Toy and Childcare Industries.
