President Xi Jinping planted six pomegranate trees with heads of state of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on May 5. President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Sharif planted a pine tree in the most conspicuous part of the garden of the Prime Minister's Office of Pakistan in April 2015.

The two sides agreed to upgrade China-Pakistan relations to an all-weather strategic cooperative partnership. In November 2014, Xi Jinping visited Tasmania, Australia, and planted a magnolia sapling with acting governor of Tasmania.
