Several coastal towns have been evacuated - the number of victims continues to rise. The government has called in the military to help. The forestry department registered 143 fires across the country on Saturday, covering an area of around 21,000 hectares. In the Valparaíso region alone there are more than 3,000 homes affected by the fires, the interior minister says.
