Chief Cabinet Secretary meets with members of the Governor's Association calling for the rescue of abductees. Governor Hanazumi called for further diplomatic efforts to defuse the situation, to hold talks to rescue the victims as soon as possible.
Chief Cabinet Secretary Hayashi said, "The abduction issue is not a historical incident, but an ongoing issue in which victims are still being deprived of their freedom and unable to return home" He emphasized the idea that the government should work together to achieve this goal.
