Chad: the electoral calendar becomes clearer with a first round of the presidential election on May 6. The presidential election supposed to put an end to the Transition started in 2021 following the death of Idriss Déby Itno should take place in a little over two months.

The election will be based on the same file as that of the referendum, although it is hotly contested. To avoid a “legal vacuum”, indicates the president of the National Electoral Management Agency, the election must be held before October 10.
