An operations manager within Region Jönköping County deliberately approved an incorrect salary payment of SEK 1.2 million to an employee. The region gave the operations manager a written warning and shortly afterwards the operationsManager resigned.

The operations manager was immediately employed in a similar position in another region of Sweden. Region has not received the money back for the incorrect salary payments. The payments were not sanctioned by the region, says Agneta Ståhl, health care director at the region.
