Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the far-right militia Oath Keepers, was sentenced Thursday to 18 months in prison for "sedition" for his role in the attack on the Capitol by supporters of Donald Trump. Rhodes, a 58-year-old former military officer, is known for his black eyepatch and fiery diatribes.

He radioed his troops "like a general on the battlefield," according to the prosecution. "You represent a persistent threat and a danger to the country," the magistrate said.
