After a record year 2022, the 2023 season of French campsites "seems to be taking the same path" with an increase in bookings of 21% over one year. In 2022, 136 million overnight stays had been recorded and "even more spectacular evolutions" are expected in 2023, says the president of the FNHPA.
Of the 63 million overnight stay already booked this year in the 7,000 French camps sites, 21 million concern bare pitches (+30%) and 42 million equipped pitches, i.e. with a mobile home or bungalow.
