In 2022, 92 million bottles were shipped worldwide for a record turnover of 1.5 billion euros. Half of Burgundy's production is consumed outside France.

A real strategy to adapt the Burgundy vineyard to climate change has been put in place. Old, resistant, autochthonous grape varieties could be added in the future to the grape varieties authorized for production of Champagne and Pinot noir. The future of the wine industry is in the hands of the French government.
