The German frigate "Hessen" accidentally shot down a US drone in the Red Sea. Vice admiral Jan Christian Kaack defends the crew of the frigate.
Kaack: "The procedure was like in the textbook. The drone was clearly classified as hostile. "I would have acted exactly the same as a commander,” Kaack told the dpa news agency. The frigate is used to protect merchant ships from attacks by the Houthi militia operating from Yemen.
