Bogdanov said that he withdrew from the elections because of an open foreign account. Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Nikolai Bulaev said that Bogdanov decided to withdraw from the presidential race.
A candidate for the presidential elections in Russia from the non-parliamentary Democratic Party of Russia (DPR), Irina Sviridova, was unable to collect the required number of voter signatures in her support. Also, the chairman of the Russian All-People's Union, Sergei Baburin, announced that he was withdrawing his candidacy.
