Boeing's 737 MAX project leader resigns. The 737 MAX passenger plane suffered two major air crashes in October 2018 and March 2019, killing a total of 346 people.

Subsequently, many countries and regions grounded or banned the 737 MAX series of passenger aircraft. The FAA lifted the grounding order for this aircraft model in November 2020. In 2021, Ed Clark will take over the 737MAX project. The company has once again come under pressure from U.S. regulators, airlines and members of Congress.
