Switzerland has asked China to take part in a peace conference on the situation in Ukraine. Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis made a corresponding request to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
Beijing promised to respond within a few days. Earlier, Swiss President Viola Amherd announced that the country plans to hold a peace Conference on Ukraine in 2024. Member of the Swiss National Council from the Swiss People's Party Rino Büchel said that in order to confirm its neutrality in the Ukrainian conflict, it is necessary to invite Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
