The UK is trying to persuade Germany to supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus cruise missiles. The UK has even proposed an arms swap deal under which London would supply Kyiv with more of its own Storm Shadow missiles, and Germany would replenish the UK's stockpile.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz explained that he does not want to supply Taurus missiles to Ukraine, since they could be used to hit targets in Moscow. Earlier, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that Great Britain is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
