Biden and Abdullah II discuss developments in Gaza and warn against storming Rafah. US President Joe Biden said, following discussions with King Abdullah II of Jordan at the White House, that his country is working on a deal to release the hostages that would lead to a period of calm for about 6 weeks.

King Abdullah said that humanity cannot bear the cost of any attack on Rafah, adding that any Israeli attack will lead to what he called a "humanitarian catastrophe" He added that he views with great concern the potential danger of displacing Palestinians outside Gaza and the West Bank.
