Belgian police searched the office of Marc Tarabella, a Belgian lawmaker from the European Union. Tarabella is suspected of corruption in the influence money scandal that rocked the European Parliament.
His lawyer said it was "incredible" that this was the first time his client's office had been searched. Four people were charged last December over allegations that Qatar, host of the World Cup, had gifted them with money and gifts to influence decision-making. The so-called Qatargate began last December.
