Russian Defense Ministry said its forces destroyed a warehouse containing 70,<> tons of fuel near the southeastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhia. Earlier, the Ukrainian military department said that 3 civilians were killed and 5 others were wounded in Russian missile shelling on the city.
Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister Anna Maliar said Russian forces were continuing to try to advance towards the city and take full control of it, despite suffering heavy losses. Russian military site Rebar reported that Ukrainian shelling targeted the Russian border province of Belogorod with Ukraine.
