The body of a 4-year-old child was discovered in Gard, the prosecutor's office said. The provisional toll from bad weather linked to the passage of storm Monica in the region therefore amounts to six deaths.
The girl's brother, aged 13, is still wanted by the authorities, who are still searching for the child's body. The death toll is expected to rise as more bodies are found, police say. The body of the child was found by a passer-by in Gard on March 12.
