The House of Councilors is considering holding a political ethics review committee later this week to provide explanations and question-and-answer questions from members. The committee is responsible for making excuses and questioning members regarding the political funding party of a faction of the Liberal Democratic Party.
The opposition party remains committed to demanding that all 32 members attend and make the meeting public, saying, "In order to uncover the true nature of the problem, all members who received kickbacks should fulfill their accountability.'' The review committee is being considered to be held this week, and adjustments are expected to be made regarding attendees, schedule and how it will be made public.
