At dusk on March 22, the world was shaken by the massacre, the result of the shooting and the subsequent fire in the Crocus City Hall shopping center in Krasnogorsk. Immediately, with the preliminary conclusions of the investigation into what happened, the deputy president of the Russian Security Council suggested that "the terrorists of the Kiev regime" were behind this crime.
The Russian monarch himself took almost 19 hours before addressing public opinion to point the finger at Ukraine as directly involved in the attack, despite the fact that one of the factions of the Islamic State had claimed intellectual and material responsibility for the attack.
