The toll could rise further; two seriously injured people are currently between life and death. Banks, mines, telecoms, transport... Unions from the main sectors of the Guinean economy have joined the general strike. Their main demand remains the release of the leader of the press union, sentenced to three months in prison. They also demand a reduction in the prices of basic necessities.
