abstract painting is in the honor of a great.... "We have been trying to define abstract painting for more than 100 years and there is still no consensus," said exhibition curator Gary Garrels to AFP.

The exhibition is organized in such a way as to reflect the chronological, geographical or stylistic oppositions and commonalities between the painters. "Far from being dead, it is very much alive," says exhibition curator, who believes that abstract painting thrives thanks to its "incredible variety, richness and diversity"
