The Amu River is one of the longest rivers in the world. It runs through three countries: Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

The water is used to irrigate the land around the river. The river is also used as a source of drinking water for the people of the region. The canal is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The first phase of the project has been completed, and the second phase will be completed in the next few months. The third phase will include the construction of a new section of the canal.
