American diplomat called cooperation with Russia in the Arctic impossible. Michael Sfraga was nominated by the President of the United States for the post of US Special Representative for Arctic Affairs.
According to him, cooperation is “virtually impossible” due to the ongoing special operation in Ukraine. The diplomat also criticized China. “The PRC is trying to give a new form to the rules-based global system, change it in its favor, working increasingly with Moscow to increase the level of its presence and influence,” he said.
