Tens of thousands of Israelis took to the streets in Tel Aviv and other cities to protest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's plans to reduce the powers of the Supreme Court. Demonstrators carried a banner reading "Dictator's Wrath Brigades", a reference to plans by far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir to create a national guard.
The demonstrations are part of a series of protests against the plans, which were suspended last month in the face of a wave of strikes and mass demonstrations.
