[HIGHLIGHTS] Alois Glück is dead: Former Bavarian state parliament president died at the age of 84

Bavarian politician Alois Glück has now died at the age of 84. He was a member of the Bavarian state parliament for 38 years and head of the CSU parliamentary group for 15 years.

Prime Minister Markus Söder praised him as “one of the greatest and most important politicians in theCSU’s” He was also active in the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK), and he was its president from 2009 to 2015. The trained farmer and passionate mountain hiker was involved in numerous honorary positions.
