Access bans and organizer bans will stop rowdy supporters. But the prohibitions are often difficult to enforce.
"It's relatively easy to get in anyway," says AIK's head of security Henrik Koch. According to the police, 149 access bans linked to football events were issued in 2022. At present, 65 are active, according to the Swedish Football Association (Swedish Football Association), who say they want individuals to take punishment for their actions, rather than a collective punishment. The association says it wants individuals to be identified and prosecuted.
