Aid organization warns of possible criminalization of child rescue at sea. Some lawyers fear that the planned wording leaves open the possibility of prosecuting sea rescuers for helping minors.

There remains a risk of criminalization "which in itself endangers the work of sea rescue organizations," says Valentin Schatz, junior professor of public law and European law.
