Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that the bodies of 12 martyrs were recovered from various areas in the city. Earlier today, Sunday, the Israeli army confirmed the withdrawal of its forces from Kahn Yunis, 4 months after launching a ground operation there. Some residents returned to inspect their destroyed homes and retrieve bodies of the martyrs from the areas from which the Israeli occupation forces had withdrawn. Some streets were severely damaged, even completely wiped out, and video clips showed that some areas completely disappeared from the map.
