The Health and Social Care Inspectorate has found several major shortcomings following an audit of Södertälje's nursing homes. The deficiencies that have been discovered pose patient safety risks, according to the authority.
"We take this very seriously," says Raakel Kuusiniemi, Acting Head of Health and Medical Care. The shortcomings came to light after Ivo in 2022 and 2023 reviewed the medical care and treatment at nursing homes, also called nursing home, around Sweden.
