The plane of the Russian airline successfully flew from Moscow to Tbilisi. This is the first direct flight to Georgia since 2019, when the Russian authorities imposed a ban on air traffic with the republic.

The Federation Council noted that the situation with the resumption of flights with Georgia is a positive example for countries that do not have sufficiently developed political thinking and impose sanctions against Russia. At some point, the opposition tried to break through the police cordon. At least six people were detained, according to preliminary data.
