[HIGHLIGHTS] After a decade of waiting – now the family maternity ward opens in Malmö

Family Hospitals were closed after a savings requirement of SEK 31 million. Region Skåne decided on a new family maternity hospital in Malmö in 2015.

It has been difficult to find new premises for the Reproductive Medical Centre (RMC), which has had to move from the maternity ward to make room for a family maternity ward. Despite the long wait, the unit manager is satisfied with the result, says Liza Henning, midwife and unit manager for the new BB Family.
